Niche Populations and Teaching Yoga: Are You Reaching Them?

Yoga teachers complain to me consistently these days about how they are bumping into each other in an over saturated market. These teachers are primarily reaching out to Level 2 students because that seems like the right thing to do.

However the aging population is growing and there’s a need for yoga teachers who can help work with injuries and more fragile, challenged bodies! Continuing to teach the same students as other yoga teachers in your area is just not sustainable.

This problem was a big impetus behind us offering a special teacher training geared toward this and other specialty niches. It is essential to know how to keep students safe and happy through an understanding of yoga therapeutics, pathomechanics and well placed hands on assists.

If you learn to serve these population well you will go far as a yoga teacher.  In the same way yoga teachers who can serve beginners and private yoga students who need extra attention will have an advantage. And the plus? Having more extensive knowledge will also enhance your skills to work with open-level and advanced students.

Join us October 30th at Kindness Yoga in Denver, CO for 5 days of specific training and start serving a whole new set of students – they are waiting for you!  And if you can’t make it then, seek out training in this area to fortify your teaching repertoire!
